High School District Track Results

High school athletes traveled to Sonora ISD on Monday, April 10th to compete in the district track meet. Team results are: Varsity girls-District runner up, Varsity boys-5th place, JV girls-District champions, JV boys-2nd place. Top four places and relays of each event will advance to Area competition on Thursday, April 20th. Go Cats!

FCCLA Competes at State Leadership Conference
04/10/2017
Five teams from BHS FCCLA competed with their student-led projects in Dallas April 5-8, 2017. Emma Duke placed 1st in state with her project, "Oh the Places You'll Go," in the Focus on Children category. She will compete at the National Leadership COnferencin in Nashville, TN in July. Heather Speckles, Celeste Oldham, and Ryann Jarvis placed 4th with their service project, "Everybody Dances." A team of culinary students consisting of Jessica Ramirex, Avery House, and Samantha Jalomor placed 6th with their service project, "FCCLA Benefit Box." Also, representing BHS were Haley Cullen with the project, "Antique Smiles" and Kelsey Hughes and Grace Rutledge with their project, "The Magic of Kindness." The chapter advisor is Julie Halfmann, Family Consumer Science teacher. Great job!!
